Muddy paws, wet fur and loose hair don't need to end up in your back seat. This hammock slings between your front and rear headrests to make one washable barrier between your dog and your upholstery, and it takes about a minute to put in.

Why people buy it

  • Waterproof quilted fabric. Wet fur, mud and spilt water sit on top instead of soaking into the seat.
  • Side flaps. Cover the door cards either side, which is where claw marks usually end up.
  • Hammock or flat. Clip it up as a hammock so your dog can't get into the front footwell, or drop the front panel and use it as a flat bench cover.
  • Zipped openings. Get to your seat belts without taking the whole thing off.
  • Storage pockets. Leads, poo bags, treats.
  • Comes off for washing. Unclip the headrest straps, shake it out, wipe it down.

Measurements

Please measure your back seat before ordering. This is the single most common reason a seat cover gets returned.

  • Main panel: 137 cm wide
  • Backrest panel: 47 cm
  • Side flaps: 38 cm

It suits a standard rear bench in most sedans, wagons and SUVs. If your back seat is wider than 137 cm, this won't cover it fully. It hangs off the rear headrests, so you need headrests in the back seat.

What's included

One hammock seat cover with headrest straps, buckles and seat anchors. Black with orange trim, and that's the only colourway we stock.

Materials

Polyester, quilted, with zip closures. That's the supplier-listed material. We haven't independently lab-tested the fabric and we won't pretend otherwise.

How to fit it

  1. Loop the top straps over your front headrests and clip them in.
  2. Loop the rear straps over the back headrests.
  3. Push the anchors down into the seat crease to stop it sliding.
  4. Unzip the seat belt openings if you're carrying people too.

Returns

60 days, and we pay the return postage. That covers the car being the wrong shape and it covers measuring badly. Email us and we'll sort it out.

Questions we get

Will my dog slip on it? The fabric is quilted rather than slick, but it isn't a rubber mat. On a hard-cornering drive a big dog will still move around.

Is this a safety restraint? No. It's a seat cover. It stops your dog climbing into the front and keeps mess off your seats. It is not a crash-tested restraint and we don't sell it as one.

Can I use it with kids in the back? Yes. Unzip the seat belt openings and use the flat setup rather than the hammock setup.

Does it fit a ute? Only if it has a rear bench under 137 cm with headrests. Measure first.
